Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Prince Rupert campus, invites applications for a non-regular Instructor to teach First Nations Fine Arts (FNFA) as outlined below. The appointment will commence January 2, 2024 and end May 31, 2024 (subject to minimum enrolment). Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor Scale (range: $36.45 - $52.24 per hour).
These courses may be delivered in Kitkatla, travel time to Kitkatla and return will be included if necessary.
The Instructor(s) will be responsible for ensuring student success. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction. In addition, the instructor will oversee and ensure safety, complete the related administrative, record keeping and monitoring activities as well as other related duties as required. Courses include the following:
- Introduction to Northwest Coast Art Design and Painting (120 instructional hours)
- Introduction to Northwest Coast Carving (120 instructional hours)
