Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a 50% term Program Coordinator for the Health Programs: Access to Practical Nursing, Practical Nursing and Health Care Assistant (subject to a leave). The appointment will commence December 15, 2023 and end August 31, 2025. The salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor salary scale ($1,336.26 to $1,728.27).
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Health Programs and working closely with the Chair of Health Programs and instructors, the Program Coordinator will ensure program evolution and play a collaborative and leading role in ensuring program quality, effectiveness, efficiency, accreditation, and student success. The Program Coordinator of Health Programs collaborates with the Regional Contracts Officer, Lab Technician Assistant, and NCBNP Coordinator. The Coordinator’s workload role until August will be at 50%, and will then be based on enrolment.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Instructor recruitment, hiring, scheduling, support and mentorship to fulfil program requirements
- Budget and workload development, monitoring, and maintenance
- Program and curriculum development; articulation and educational liaising (including with clinical/preceptor sites and external staff)
- Student recruitment/retention and advocacy; community outreach and program promotion; chairing meetings and participating in committee work
- Contributing to record keeping and timely report writing, including for accreditation bodies
- All other related duties of similar scope and complexity
