Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a temporary (50%) College Professor (subject to a leave) commencing December 2023 and ending December 2025. Salary will be in accordance with the CUPE Instructor Scale: $1,314.15 - $2,105.86 biweekly plus benefits.
The College Professors are responsible for contributing to the academic success of students. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction.
Course-load will primarily include History and Women's Studies courses but may also include Political Science, Anthropology, Indigenous/First Nations Studies. For Winter and Spring of 2024, the successful candidate's workload will consist of the following:
Winter 2024:
- HIST 210: History of Western Canada
- HIST 209: A History of Native People in Canada
- WMST 102: Introduction to Women’s Studies
